Position: HMP/111 –Facilities Engineers,
Facilities Management Group
Location: Farnborough, Hampshire
Role: Reporting to the Senior Facilities Engineers & FM
group, based at Farnborough and also required to work at other
Hilson Moran offices and client sites as required to fulfil
the following duties:
Procuring, setting-up, managing & monitoring service providers
delivering planned maintenance of building engineering services
on behalf of clients;
Preparing asset registers via site surveys and compilation
of structured M & E plant lists; Carrying out technical
audits of service delivery performance and documentation;
Reporting on condition surveys, feasibility studies, contractors
performance, refurbishment and new works.
Qualifications: Minimum OND preferably, HNC/ HND or equivalent
in a building engineering services discipline; relevant City
& Guilds parts I, II & III and engineering discipline.
In addition the applicant should possess the following skills
and qualities: excellent communication skills;
self-motivation; quality focussed; good report-writing skills;
flexible; organised and willing to travel (must have valid
UK driving license).
Experience: The applicant will have broad practical experience
of Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering services, and
in particular the maintenance of such systems and equipment.
This experience will have been gained via a minimum of 3 years
in one of the following grades or environments: Hands-on maintenance
operative with supervisory experience working for a maintenance
service provider or in and end-user environment; Engineering
services consultant with some design experience but currently
providing services similar to those described above; Ex-services,
in particular personnel who have followed a structured career
path in general engineering aspects in the Royal Navy operating
and maintaining diverse engineering systems on board ship,
often in arduous conditions.
